So, it’s that time of year – the leaves are changing, the air is getting a little more brisk and creepiness is everywhere.  That’s right, it’s Halloween time.  I love Halloween.  I’m not entirely sure why I love it so much more than other decorative holidays, but I do.  I think it’s just one of those times when you can really let your imagination soar.  You can make your house, your yard, your parties look like a stage set from your favorite spooky movie, or create cute and fun decor, or even create very Martha’esq decor.  I tend toward the super creepy.  It’s getting harder now with a youngster in the house, but I am finding that he thinks it’s pretty fun and cool too.

This year’s en vogue Halloween theme really seems to be one that harkens back to the 17 or 1800’s.  A sort of Dr. Jekyll feel on one hand, a black and white Edgar Allan Poe feel on the other with a little glam goth thrown in for good measure.  Our annual Halloween movie night this year will feature Disney’s The Princess and the Frog which is set in New Orleans and has a good play on voodoo.  So, I’m sort of going with that theme mixed with the whole Dr. Jekyll/mad scientist feel in my own decor.  I will have ravens and lots of skulls and lots of dark themed printables.  The food and drink will flow and the goblins will surely enjoy themselves.

In honor of Halloween 2011, I have created some free Creeptacular Halloween labels that you can use for your own party decor.  Enjoy!
