So, here I am…1st year on the PTR (that’s the PTA to most people. I’m not sure why our school calls it the PTR, but who am I to argue?). So, here I am, in my first meeting thinking I’m just going to see what this is all about and see how I can help. A friend of mine warned me about my personality…I really like to be involved. So, as you can guess (if you know me at all) with a slightly OCD & social personality, I volunteered to be the secretary. Seeing as how my full time job is a legal secretary, I figured this would make sense.
My first order of business was to type up the minutes of our meeting – check. My second order of business is to send out a whole slew of emails to the parents regarding various events & fundraisers – I am currently in the process of checking off those items. One such email regards our Halloween Potluck. As I was typing up the email, within it, we ask parents to note whether the item they are bringing may have a potential allergen for children. This got me to thinking. I should create a little printable tent card that people could just print out, trim, fold, mark the potential allergen and place in front of their dish. So, I did. And, now, it is here for you to download as well. It is a simple little printable, but I wanted it to be clear & readable. I hope it helps.
